Tent Camping

  • We have open camping in the following locations (in interactive map below:​

    • The quiet/family campground at the historical museum

    • the field south of the elementary school​

RV and campers

  • pay-for RV spots available at Madison County Fairgrounds. Email mcfairiowa@gmail.com for more info

  • There will be no RV dump site in winterset

​

Bus Route Info

  • There are two routes, red and blue.  Red route covers the north and east of town.  Blue route covers the south and west of town.  see the interactive route for stop locations.

Cooling Stations

July in Iowa is hot and this year will be no exception.  Our official cooling and charging station will be the winterset library on N 2nd str between e Jefferson str and E court ave, 1 block east of the town square.

cool off and get your devices charged amongst the books.

Water Filling Stations

Keeping hydrated is key after conquering the hills of Madison county.  

our water filling station will be south of the library and monument park.
